COVID
We are taking COVID-19 precautions. All our staff and physicians are checked daily for symptoms. All office staff and patients are required to wear a mask.
Neurosurgical Associates of San Antonio is open, and we are here to care for you. Keeping our patients and employees safe during these times is our number one priority. When you visit our offices, you can be sure that we have made changes to keep you comfortable and healthy.
We have taken the following steps to protect everyone during your visit:
-
- Face Masks: To enter our practices, you must be wearing a mask or face covering that covers both your nose and mouth. We recommend wearing n95, kn95, surgical, or fabric mask with two or more layers to your appointment.
- Social Distancing: We are staggering appointments and making sure a limited number of patients are in the waiting room at any given time.
- Screening: We will ask all of our patients about symptoms they have related to COVID-19 and about any exposures that they may have had. We are also doing temperature checks on arrival. Our employees are screened daily to ensure your safety.
- No Visitors are allowed with patients during a visit.
If you think you may have COVID-19, or if you have had contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, call your primary care physician. They can determine if you are in need of testing. If you do not have a primary care physician, please visit the emergency room or an urgent care clinic.
We ask that if you are feeling unwell that you reschedule your appointment or request a virtual Telehealth appointment.
Telehealth
In order to provide care remotely to our patients, Neurosurgical Associates of San Antonio offers telemedicine appointments. During a telemedicine appointment, you will meet in real-time, one-on-one on your computer or mobile device screen with one of our staff. Medical information such as symptoms and diagnoses can be shared via this platform to patients who wish to remain in their homes during this time. HIPAA compliant video conference software is in place to protect patient information and confidentiality.
