Biography
Robert Johnson, MD, is Board Certified in the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. His areas of expertise include the surgical repair of joints, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and birth defects, with emphasis on spinal procedures. Dr. Johnson received his medical degree from the University of Toronto in Canada and later went on to complete an internship at St. Michael’s Hospital, located in Toronto.
Dr. Johnson furthered expanded his experience through the completion of numerous residency programs including General, Cardiovascular, Plastic and Cardiovascular Surgery, and Respiratory ICU. He is an honored member of multiple medical associations including the Texas Medical Association and American College of Surgeons and presently serves as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
With over forty years of experience, Dr. Robert Johnson provides a comprehensive understanding of patient care, surgical intervention, and spinal treatments. He is affiliated with Methodist Hospital and is recognized by both patients and peers as an exceptional surgeon, and is an honored member of Neurological Associates of San Antonio.
